Today, Slam Dunk announced the final wave artists for the 2019 festival. The stand out names from this announcement are UK pop punk heavyweights, Neck Deep, Boston Manor and As It Is, as well as big names from across the pond in The Plot In You and grandson.
This year’s festival will be the 14th edition of the alternative rock festival, but this year will be the first time that the Leeds date won’t be in the city centre. Instead, the organisers have acquired Temple Newsam Park, a short shuttle bus journey away from the city centre. This move followed a successful trial of the “South” leg of the festival, where the festival was moved to Hatfield Park.
Latest rumours are that headliners All Time Low may honour the 10 year anniversary of Nothing Personal, their third studio album and one which is hugely admired by their fans. This will be the Baltimore band’s second time headlining the festival, and fans are excited at the prospect of seeing the quartet perform songs which they haven’t played for a while.
Perhaps the most popular addition to this announcement will be Neck Deep. The Welsh pop punk band last played only in 2017, but since then they have released their third studio album and toured all around the world. More recently, the band put on their alter-ego in Slipneck and performed an outstanding one off set for Halloween. They’re surely a band not to miss at Slam Dunk 2019!
