Just when we thought it couldn’t get much better, Live At Leeds – the inner city festival recently featured in the latest issue of T’Hud’s student friendly alternative festivals feature (still available on campus!) – go ahead and announce they’re squeezing another 50 bands into their already burgeoning line-up!
The festival takes place over the weekend of 2nd – 5th May and is set to be the biggest Live At Leeds event yet. Choice names added to the line-up today include Big Ups, Cheatahs, Crocodiles, and Dum Dum Girls, though those are just a few (there are 46 more!).
To compensate for this latest swell of talent, new venues have been added to the LAL portfolio, venues that will be sure to keep your festival viewing experiences as varied as possible. Now on the list are the newly opened Belgrave Music Hall, Oporto, Leeds Town Hall, and the Hi-Fi Club. The thought of seeing a lot of these bands (a lot of whom are notoriously raucous live) in these top venues has our ears salivating.
The truly international expanded line-up is a surefire way to expose yourself to the best up-and-coming artists from a wide array of genres; everything from singer-songwriters to noisy guitar groups.
The full line-up, now consisting of around 150 artists performing over 20 stages, is far too massive a logistical formatting challenge to list here in a manner that won’t fry your brain with jumbled words. So to get a look at the full roster, along with all the information you could ever want on this year’s festival, head over to Live At Leeds’ website at LiveAtLeeds.com
In addition to the Saturday all-day ‘main event’ line-up, there are also a number of separately ticketed peripheral events. Full details of those are as follows:
