Roche in line for Huddersfield debut whilst Giants’ skipper Cudjoe misses out
Huddersfield Giants have welcomed new signing Colton Roche to their squad for the first time ahead of Thursday’s home fixture against Warrington Wolves on Thursday evening (7:45pm kick off).
Utility Roche, who can play at either prop, second-row or centre, joined Huddersfield from Bradford Bulls on a two-year contract during the off-season.
Roche replaces back rower Michael Lawrence, who is out with a hamstring injury whilst prop Tyler Dickinson replaces fellow front rower Adam Walne.
Captain Leroy Cudjoe, Tom Symonds, Shannon Wakeman and Alex Mellor remain unavailable to Rick Stone due to injury concerns.
Stone revealed to the club’s website that either Ryan Hinchcliffe or Danny Brough will take the captain’s armband in the absence of Cudjoe.
Meanwhile, Warrington name the same 19-man squad as they did for their narrow 12-16 loss to Leeds Rhinos on the opening day of the season.
Sita Akauola remains waiting for his debut for the Wire as he forward Dom Crosby continue to recover from injury.
Wolves half-back Kevin Brown and second rower Jack Hughes come against their former club having made over 150 combined appearances for the Giants during previous spells with the West Yorkshire club.
